Today Delta Gamma’s membership has grown to more than 142,000 women from 146 collegiate chapters and more than 250 alumnae groups.

The Cleveland East Alumnae group started in 1912 as Theta Chi alumnae association for Cleveland.  The group became an official alumnae chapter in 1929 for Cleveland.  In 1954 the name of the group was changed to Cleveland East when Westshore Alumnae split off.  Cleveland East has been committed to the Cleveland Sight Center for more than fifty years.  We are active with Theta Beta collegiate chapter at Case Western Reserve University throughout the year and support the Beta Zeta chapter at Denison University for their retreat each fall.

We would love to have you join us for an upcoming meeting or activity.  Check out the New In Town page for details.

Delta Gamma’s around the world support our national philanthropy—Service for Sight.  Cleveland East participates in fundraisers throughout the year to support local and national sight centers.

Delta Gamma was founded by Anna Boyd Ellington, Eva Webb Dodd, and Mary Comfort Leonard in 1873 in Oxford, Mississippi, at the Lewis School for Girls.
